01 / Total coverage

Score every eligible call.

Call1 runs your scorecard across every eligible call, within the capacity you bought. The disclosure failure that shows up once in five hundred calls stops depending on sampling luck, and coaching patterns surface from the whole floor, not from whoever got sampled.

Your recorder writes post-call audio straight to an S3-compatible endpoint on the box. Call1 processes the recording locally, builds the transcript and review artifacts, then routes the audio to the archive you designate. Your archive stays the system of record for recordings.

Source integration
S3-compatible ingest runs on the appliance itself, inside your network or private-cloud tenancy. WAV is the baseline input; additional codecs are normalized during implementation.
Metadata contract
A configurable filename parser, JSON/CSV sidecar, or scoped platform adapter maps agent, queue, direction, disposition, and customer reference into one canonical session.
Arrival behavior
Audio and metadata may arrive in either order. Partial sessions remain valid, while call ID correlation and idempotent re-drops prevent duplicate transcription or scoring.
Speaker handling
Dual-channel audio is preferred for deterministic agent/customer separation. Mono audio remains supported through diarization, with expected accuracy documented during validation.

02 / Hybrid sentiment

Call1 scores the words and the voice separately, then fuses them.

Every eligible, speaker-aligned chunk can produce two independent affect signals: textual sentiment from what was said and tonal emotion from how it was said. A policy-versioned fusion step turns them into one useful hybrid result.

Both source signals stay attached to the result. If the language reads neutral while the voice carries strain, your reviewer sees the disagreement. And when audio quality is too poor for reliable tonal inference, the tone signal is marked unavailable.

Analysis unit
Each result attaches to a speaker-aligned chunk with start/end timestamps, speaker role, transcript text, and source quality indicators.
Independent outputs
Text and tone models retain their own label distribution, confidence, model identifier, model version, and inference time. Neither model substitutes for the other.
Fusion policy
The hybrid label, confidence, and disagreement score are produced by a separately versioned policy. Reviewers can inspect the contributing signals behind the fused result.
Acoustic context
The chunk schema can also carry interruption, silence, crosstalk, hold music, static, DTMF, or customer-defined event tags without retaining the source audio indefinitely.

03 / Evidence-linked scoring

Every verdict carries the evidence behind it.

Each QA verdict points back to the moment that produced it. Your reviewer sees the transcript excerpt, timestamp, rationale, confidence, rubric version, and model lineage together.

Machine output is immutable. When a human disagrees, Call1 records an adjudication beside the verdict. The audit trail shows what the system decided, what the reviewer decided, and why.

Question routing
Mechanical checks use deterministic matchers; semantic questions use small adapters; larger local models are reserved for questions that need judgment. The matchers on a question determine its tier.
Result contract
Pass, fail, flagged, or not-applicable is stored with confidence, rationale, evidence offsets, scoring tier, rubric version, model version, and scoring time.
Scorecard mechanics
Rubrics support sections, weights, conditional applicability, automatic failures, and versioned publication. Historical calls retain the exact rubric that produced their original result.
Validation
Acceptance is measured per question against an agreed labeled sample. Confidence thresholds and mandatory-review rules are established with the customer before production use.

04 / Smart review queue

The queue turns total coverage into focused human work.

Scoring every call should not create a larger pile for reviewers. Call1 ranks the conversations and moments that deserve attention: compliance failures, low-confidence decisions, emotional escalations, rare events, and unusual changes in performance.

Reviewers open a prepared case with audio, transcript, evidence, and the relevant scorecard question already in context. They confirm or override with a reason code and move on. Reviewers pull the next call; nobody cherry-picks an easy one.

Under-buy your capacity block and the queue clears slower. Nothing goes unscored, but the wait grows until you add a block.

Queue policy
Priority can combine compliance severity, failed questions, confidence thresholds, emotion changes, tracked events, age, and customer-defined campaign or team rules.
Review workspace
The waveform, speaker-aligned transcript, flagged timestamps, question rail, evidence spans, and playback position stay synchronized. Keyboard controls support play, jump, confirm, override, escalate, and submit-next.
Human decision record
Overrides require a reason code and may include a note. The original machine score stays intact; the reviewer's action is appended with user, timestamp, and provenance.
Operating roles
Reviewer, QA lead, and administrator responsibilities separate adjudication, queue management, calibration, reporting, rubric administration, and access management.

05 / Private deployment

Keep recordings inside your trust boundary.

Call1 ships as an appliance that racks inside your network, under your SSO, your firewall rules, and your keys. The application, the models, the database, and the object store live together on the box.

Call1 the company holds no standing access to call content. When the system needs attention, support access is a grant you approve: specific, time-boxed, and audited.

Deployment boundary
One validated appliance configuration, specced and shipped by Call1, running everything as a single versioned deployment. The same image on infrastructure you already run is where the product is headed, and it isn't sold yet.
Network and identity
No inbound public port; the box dials out. Remote reviewer access runs over a path you operate: your VPN, or a Cloudflare tunnel in your own account. Your SSO and MFA policies govern every session, and Call1 is not a member of your network.
Encryption and keys
Appliance storage is encrypted at rest with a passphrase you set on first boot. Audio routed to your archive uses keys you hold, with playback capability on the deployment or in your KMS. Call1 holds no key.
Lifecycle and support
Your policy controls working-audio retention. Operational telemetry excludes content, updates flow into the deployment, and break-glass support requires a specific, time-limited grant you approve.

06 / Versioned intelligence

Change models without rewriting history.

Speech, text, tone, embedding, and scoring models will improve. Call1 treats each one as a replaceable, versioned component behind a stable per-chunk data contract, so the product can adopt better models without rebuilding the review experience.

New candidates can run beside the current model and compete on the same calls. Champion and challenger outputs keep their own confidence, version, and provenance. A swap changes future processing and leaves the historical record as it was.

Registry and lineage
Speech, embedding, text, tone, fusion, and QA components have stable identifiers and immutable versions. Every output states which component and policy produced it.
Evaluation modes
A production champion and one or more challengers may process the same eligible chunks. Shadow results remain isolated from customer-facing scores until an approved promotion.
Promotion and rollback
Promotion criteria are based on a customer-approved benchmark and defined acceptance metrics. Rollback changes the active version; neither action mutates already-published results.
Local improvement
Reviewer adjudications form a customer-owned labeled set for in-place evaluation or adapter training. Adapters trained on sensitive content stay within the deployment unless an approved sanitization and export policy exists.
